The actress, who made her first appearance on the NBC comedy-drama in last night's season premiere, described the character as "a force to be reckoned with".
"Mary Bartowski is the absentee mother of Chuck and Ellie and the most that I can really say about her is that... she is not your ordinary homemaker," Hamilton told TV Squad. "She disappeared because she was deep undercover as a spy. So she comes back into Chuck's life with an agenda and... she is definitely a strong, forceful [woman]."
Hamilton admitted that viewers expecting an emotional reunion between Chuck and his mother would be disappointed.
"It ain't all apologies and sentiment, that's for sure," she claimed. "[Mary] has her own agenda and it just kind of goes crazy from there."
Chuck continues on Mondays at 8/7c on NBC.
