The popstar will appear in a live action segment of the popular animated series, reports Entertainment Weekly magazine. The scene will feature Perry interacting with puppets.
The news comes after Sesame Street pulled a segment featuring Perry and Elmo from an upcoming episode.
"In the wake of Elmo’s terrible betrayal, the Simpsons puppets wish to announce they stand felt-shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry," said Simpsons producer Al Jean.
Her Simpsons segment was taped before Sesame Street pulled Perry's section of the show.
Perry will sing a song called 'The 39 Days Of Christmas' during the episode, which airs in the US on December 5 on Fox.
