The drama was originally scheduled to premiere on Friday, but Fox has decided to fill the slot with repeats of House.
Human Target will now return to Wednesday nights from November 17.
The show focuses on Christopher Chance (Mark Valley), a personal security expert hired to look after people in danger.
The series also stars Jackie Earle Haley and Chi McBride, while Indira Varma and Janet Montgomery have joined the cast for the second season.
The move is the latest change to Fox's schedule after the network cancelled Lone Star earlier this week. Its Monday night slot will now be filled by the third season of Lie To Me.
