Entertainment Weekly says that the former Sopranos star has landed a potentially recurring role in the comedy.
She will play Didi, the stepmother of Steve Wilde (Will Arnett).
Didi reportedly arrives on the estate to stop Steve spending so much on the same day that he decides to fund Emmy's nonprofit organisation.
De Matteo has also had roles in shows including Sons Of Anarchy, Desperate Housewives and Joey.
Running Wilde continues on Tuesdays at 9.30/8.30c on Fox. De Matteo is expected to make her debut in an episode next month.
