Deadline claims that the series, which stars Jimmy Smits as maverick Supreme Court justice Cyrus Garza, is in danger of being axed after drawing disappointing ratings.
The network is apparently planning to move Dateline to fill the slot currently occupied by the programme.
Reality show The Apprentice is also said to be in danger of being moved from its current Thursday night slot after attracting just 1.3m viewers last week. New crime spinoff Law & Order: Los Angeles is apparently being considered as a potential time-slot replacement.
If the move takes place, sister show Law & Order: SVU would also move to Wednesdays nights at 10/9c.
NBC has yet to comment on the reports.
