Burt Reynolds 'develops new sitcom'

The show will be written by All in the Family creator Norman Lear and will see the pair play two warring pensioners who live in a retirement home, claims the National Enquirer.
"Burt jumped at the chance to make a TV comeback, but he knew that without Loni, the show wouldn't work," said an insider. "When Burt and Loni talked, it was awkward at first, but she was touched when she realised how much it could mean to Burt."
Reynolds recently made a guest appearance on Burn Notice, while Anderson's last regular television role was as Kiki Spelling on short-lived VH1 sitcom So Notorious.
Lear apparently plans to pitch the currently untitled show for the 2011 TV season.
