Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar walked off the set of The View this morning, following an argument with a guest.

Political commentator Bill O'Reilly infuriated Goldberg and Behar with his comments relating to 9/11 and the proposed building of a mosque close to Ground Zero in New York.

According to Pop Eater, O'Reilly said: "The mosque down here on 9/11. That's inappropriate.

"Sure, they have a right to do it. But it's inappropriate because a lot of the 9/11 families who I know, say, 'Look, we don't want that'."

O'Reilly then proceeded to suggest that President Barrack Obama's voting numbers had fallen because of the Muslim community centre plans, adding: "Muslims killed us on 9/11."

Goldberg and Behar furiously left the stage, before returning to continue the interview after a few moments.
