The half-hour project will focus on a woman who helps people transition between jobs.
Lizer's new show will be co-produced by Warner Bros. TV and her own Kari's Logo production company.
She previously worked as a writer on Will & Grace and served as showrunner on Old Christine until the show's axe earlier this year.
