In a press release issued by ABC, the Sugarland star revealed that she was "thrilled" to have been chosen to front the first-ever festive CMA broadcast.
"I love the holidays and, as my first time hosting a show, I am sure it will be full of laughs and surprises both for myself and for the folks watching," she said.
The CMA's Chief Executive Officer Steve Moore added that Nettles will bring "warmth and charm" to the 90-minute event, which will be taped in front of a live audience.
ABC previously announced that the line-up for the special will include Sheryl Crow, Rascal Flatts, LeAnn Rimes, Little Big Town, Martina McBride and Brad Paisley. It has also been announced that Kellie Pickler will take to the stage at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
CMA Country Christmas is scheduled to tape on November 11 and will air November 29 from 9.30pm ET on ABC.
