'Cleveland Show' returns to season high

The Cleveland Show returned from its four-week hiatus with a season high, early viewing figures show.

Seth MacFarlane's animated Family Guy spinoff claimed 6.7m at 8.30pm, after which MacFarlane's original show amused 7.97m.

Elsewhere in Fox's schedule, The Simpsons took 8.2m at 8pm, and American Dad had 6.3m at 9.30pm.

Desperate Housewives recovered from last week's Halloween scare to notch up a respectable 12.56m for ABC in the 9pm hour, then Brothers & Sisters picked up an equally solid 8.84m in the 10pm hour. Earlier, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition managed 9.28m.

Due to an NFL overrun, 60 Minutes delivered 15.58m to CBS from 8pm, then The Amazing Race and Undercover Boss mustered 11.27m and 9.89m respectively, while the three-hour Sunday Night Football averaged 16.51m for NBC.
