It was previously announced that Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps writer Allan Loeb was adapting the Marshall Karp novel The Rabbit Factory for the cable channel
Deadline now reports that Weber will play widowed Los Angeles detective Mike Lomax in the project. Hughley has also signed on to portray his newly-married partner Terry Biggs.
Weber has previously played recurring roles on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Brothers & Sisters, while Hughely recently signed up for a guest stint on forthcoming TBS sitcom Glory Daze.
The as-yet-untitled pilot is expected to air on TNT in 2011.
