Doherty rumours over Charmed exit

Rumours have begun circulating over the reasons why Shannen Doherty left The WB's Charmed.

According to MSNBC's The Scoop, column, Doherty left over a long-running argument with co-star Alyssa Milano, saying that they couldn't "stand to be on set together".

The insider said: "Shannen gave The WB an ultimatum: 'her or me.' Initially the thinking was that Alyssa was going to go. They were both under contract and had lawyers hashing it out until the last minute, but Shannen overplayed her hand and The WB went with Alyssa instead. She’s much better liked by the cast and staff anyway."

The WB refused to comment.
