It was announced in October that the network had decided to axe the show following disappointing ratings.
TV Guide now reports that the series, which stars Maura Tierney and Rob Morrow, will not return to the air after the most recent episode attracted just 3.65m viewers.
Having aired just six episodes from an initial 13-episode order, ABC currently has no set plans to broadcast the remaining seven.
The show's 10/9c slot on Wednesday nights will be filled by reruns of Modern Family and Cougar Town. From January 12, new medical drama Off the Map will take the slot.
The Whole Truth last aired on December 1 on ABC.
