The 76-year-old presenter's final show will apparently feature 16 different participants. Only fellow TV hosts Ryan Seacrest and Bill Maher have been revealed as guests so far.
The CNN website for King's show reads: "The end of an era (cue the tears!) Larry hangs up his suspenders after 25 incredible years on CNN. We've got a bunch of surprises for him - and you. Don't miss it!"
CNN has revealed that some of the guests will be politicians, with rumours suggesting that former New York governor Mario Cuomo, King's first guest on the show in 1985, may make an appearance.
Despite being unsure of his reason for quitting, King will step down to make way for Piers Morgan in January.
The final Larry King Live show is due to air tonight on CNN at 9pm ET/6pm PT.
