'Charmed' axed after eight seasons

Rumours over the fate of the supernatural series had been rife for some time, with dwindling ratings and the announcement in January that its US broadcast network, The WB, would be merging with the rival UPN network.
"It's been a hell of a run, but all good things must come to an end," said executive producer Brad Kern.
The final episode will air Stateside on May 21 and in the UK on Living TV in June.
