During an appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, the comedian expressed excitement to be returning to guest host the sketch comedy series after a 10-year absence.
"It's unbelievable," he said. "There's going to be a lot of surprises."
Carvey was a castmember on SNL for seven years and earned an Emmy for 'Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Programme' in 1993 for his work on the show.
Fallon also questioned Carvey as to whether he plans to revive the popular sketch 'Church Chat', which he debuted on Saturday Night Live in 1986.
"Well Jimmy, I'll just say it this way: Sometimes in life we don't know if there's going to be Mr. Surprise," he teased while adopting the Church Lady's high-pitched voice.
Musical guests Linkin Park join Carvey for this weekend's edition of Saturday Night, which airs on Saturday from 11:30 ET/10:30 CT on NBC.
