NBC takes 'Deal' over 'Joey'
Published Friday, Mar 10 2006, 16:29 GMT | By James Welsh
After a ratings disaster for Joey on Tuesday night, NBC has ordered eight extra episodes of Deal or No Deal to enable another show to move from Friday into the troubled sitcom's slot.
Just 4 million viewers tuned in on Tuesday night for Joey's return - a return that has now taken the form of a single-episode outing. While there is a possibility that NBC will hold the remaining shows in reserve to fill any gaps in its summer lineup, a cancellation announcement is expected shortly.
Deal or No Deal will now have a thirty-show run during this outing, enabing Most Outrageous Moments to move from Fridays to Joey's slot on Tuesdays.
