The former Friends actor recently co-created and now stars in the new ABC comedy Mr Sunshine. He told PopEater that the process of conceiving the show is one he would like to repeat.
"I do [like scriptwriting], its fun. It's sort of writing by committee for the most part," he said.
"I wrote the pilot with two other people and someone else came in to help out and there's a whole writing staff of people who sit around in a room. It's a very funny room."
Perry continued: "I was doing a lot of jobs on this. I was acting and producing and I thought of it so it's a very busy job.
"If we're fortunate enough to have it keep going I'll have to continue to learn as I go to do all the things [like scriptwriting] and micromanage all those things."
Mr Sunshine airs Wednesdays at 9:30EST on ABC.
