The Emmy-nominated CBS reporter suffered a health scare live on air as viewers watched her struggle to form sentences during the Sunday broadcast.
"Seeing that clip is obviously very disconcerting and scary because I know what was going on in my head at that time," she told Julie Chen during an appearance on CBS's The Talk, which airs today.
"I was terrified."
She went on to tell Chen that she "didn't feel well" before the broadcast, explaining: "I had a headache; I was having some blurry vision. When I went to open my mouth the words were not coming out.
"I knew what I wanted to say. I wanted to say that Lady Antebellum had swept the Grammys but the words were not there for me."
Branson's full interview can be seen on The Talk today, which airs 2pm ET, 1pm PT on CBS.
According to CBS-2 News, doctors have now suggested that Branson's medical scare was a severe, complex migraine. The reporter told the news programme that she is now feeling fine and hopes her incident can raise awareness for other people who may have experienced a similar scare.
