According to New York Magazine, Judd will play a former CIA agent that journeys to Europe to find her missing son.
Judd previously appeared on the TV series Sisters, in which she played Reed Halsey from 1991 to 1994.
She has also starred in a number of films, including Where The Heart Is and High Crimes. She is currently shooting Dolphin Tale, which will open in cinemas in September.
Missing is expected to air during this summer on ABC.
