The project, from Veronica Mars and Party Down creator Rob Thomas, focuses on a number of families whose children play little league sports.
Deadline says that Corddry will play the patriarch of the Weller family, who move from California to Austin, Texas.
However, the Wellers discover that their Latino neighbours, the Pachecos, raise their children very differently. Meanwhile, they find out that their new African-American acquaintances the Burlesons take sport extremely seriously.
Corddry co-created and stars in the Adult Swim series Children's Hospital and has also had roles in shows such as Community and Raising Hope.
Meanwhile, Paula Marshall is thought to be in talks to play the wife of Corddry's character. She has appeared in a number of programmes, including Gary Unmarried, Nip/Tuck, Californication and Veronica Mars.
