Henry Simmons has reportedly joined ABC's pilot Man Up.

The comedy focuses on what it means to be a modern man and is told through the eyes of three men and their partners.

Chris Moynihan, who wrote the project, will play a lovelorn man called Craig while Mather Zickel stars as a happily-married father called Will. The third man is Will's brother-in-law Kenny.

According to Deadline, Simmons has now signed up to play the boyfriend of Kenny's ex-wife (Amanda Detmer).

Simmons previously played Det. Baldwin Jones in NYPD Blue and starred as Isaac in Shark. He has also appeared in shows including CSI: Miami and Raising The Bar.
