Michael McMillian is to make a guest appearance on TV Land sitcom Hot In Cleveland.

TV Line reports that the actor will play Owen, the long-lost son of Joy (Jane Leeves) in a future episode.

Joy previously received a message from her son, who was given up for adoption, in the show's first season finale, but the pair were unable to meet due to an approaching tornado.

McMillian currently plays the recurring role of cult leader Steve Newlin on HBO's True Blood and has also appeared in episodes of CSI: NY, The Mentalist and Scrubs.

How In Cleveland airs on Wednesdays at 10/9c. McMillian's episode is currently expected to air on June 22.
