Carol Mendelsohn told TV Line that the villain (played by Bill Irwin) will reappear in two future episodes to confront his old enemy Langston (Laurence Fishburne).
"Breaking out of jail was only the beginning," she revealed. "As Haskell warned, he's always five steps ahead of our CSIs, until he's not."
Haskell was previously able to escape his captors, having been convicted for almost killing Langston in the tenth season finale.
CSI continues on Thursdays at 9/8c on CBS. Irwin is expected to reprise his role as Haskell during May sweeps.
