The actor admitted that the premise he had heard for the potential film sounded 'awesome', but said that he couldn't see a big-screen adaptation of the popular comedy happening anytime soon.
"I'll believe it when I see it," Cross told MTV News. "Not even when I'm standing there shooting it.
"Not even when I'm at the theater and it's playing. The next day - that's when I'll believe it."
Reports of a potential Arrested Development film have been circulating ever since the show was cancelled in 2006, but Cross admitted that he had no idea as to when the film might happen.
"I'm realistically optimistic, which is to say, not that optimistic," the actor added.
Series stars Michael Cera, Will Arnett and Jason Bateman have all previously said that they would be interested in reprising their roles in a feature-film.
