The actress told IGN that Lucretia will "unleash the demons from hell" in the next run of the Starz drama.
"I know a couple of very broad strokes," she explained. "I have incredible faith in these writers. I would be shocked if it wasn't as brilliant as everything else [we've done]."
Producer Steven S. DeKnight also confirmed that new episodes will explore the consequences of the then-pregnant Lucretia's brutal stabbing in the first season finale.
"Lucretia survives her wound but, as you can imagine, she's less than happy," he laughed.
Lawless added: "She's had something very precious, the only thing precious to her, taken away from her and there'll be hell to pay."
Spartacus is expected to return to Starz in January 2012.
