Abigail Spencer joins 'Grace' pilot

The project, from Grey's Anatomy writer Krista Vernoff, will focus on a dysfunctional family immersed in the world of professional dance.
Deadline reports that Spencer will play Sarah, a laywer who decides to take over her father's dance studio. It was previously confirmed that Eric Roberts will appear in the pilot as Sarah's father Michael.
Spencer has previously played recurring roles on both AMC's Mad Men and TNT's Hawthorne. She will also appear alongside Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford in 2011 film Cowboys & Aliens.
So You Think You Can Dance judge Mia Michaels will serve as choreographer on the Grace pilot, which is under consideration for ABC's 2011-12 television season.
