'HIMYM' renewed for two more seasons

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series has been performing consistently well in the ratings, leading the network to ensure that it will run to at least eight seasons.
Currently airing its sixth season, How I Met Your Mother averages 9.1 million viewers each episode, and provides the network with a strong 8pm anchor.
The comedy launched in 2005 and features an ensemble cast, including the likes of Forgetting Sarah Marshall star Jason Segel, former Buffy The Vampire Slayer regular Alyson Hannigan and Glee guest star Neil Patrick Harris.
The seventh season of How I Met Your Mother will launch this fall.
