Nancy Travis boards 'Hart Of Dixie' pilot

Nancy Travis has signed up to appear in the CW's pilot Hart Of Dixie.

The drama stars The O.C.'s Rachel Bilson as a New York doctor who inherits a medical practice in a small Southern town.

Deadline reports that Travis has now landed a potentially recurring role in the show. She is expected to play a nurse who acts as a mother figure for Bilson's character Zoe.

Travis will join Jaime King and Wilson Bethel, who have also signed up to appear in the project.

Travis previously starred in Almost Perfect, Becker and The Bill Engvall Show and recently had guest roles in Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives.
