The crime drama will relaunch with a two-hour premiere on April 11, following a four-month hiatus.
"We are pleased to welcome Law & Order: Los Angeles back to NBC's regular lineup," said Bob Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment. "Dick Wolf and his team have made some exciting creative changes and we can't wait to reintroduce the show to audiences."
It was previously announced that the show will undergo a creative overhaul, with series regulars Skeet Ulrich, Regina Hall and Megan Boone all departing.
The character of Ricardo Morales (Alfred Molina) will replace Ulrich's Rex Winters as lead detective, while former Law & Order star Alana De Le Garza will reprise her role as ADA Connie Rubirosa in the spinoff.
Last week, it was confirmed that Terrence Howard will appear as his Law & Order: Los Angeles character Joe Dekker in a special crossover episode of Law & Order: SVU.
