O'Brien, Stewart for Greg Giraldo tribute

Conan O'Brien and Jon Stewart will appear in Comedy Central's tribute to the late comedian Greg Giraldo, who died last September at the age of 44.

The televised special, Give It Up For Greg Giraldo, is to feature rare interview footage and clips from the stand-up comedian's career.

Joining O'Brien and Stewart on the programme to toast their late contemporary will be Sarah Silverman, Colin Quinn and Jim Gaffigan, according to an official press release.

During his more than two-decade career as a comedian, Giraldo released two full-length comedy LPs and frequently appeared on Comedy Central's celebrity roasts.

Give It Up For Greg Giraldo airs on March 18 at 11:30pm ET/10:30pm CT on Comedy Central.
