Debbie Allen boards ABC's 'Grace' pilot

Allen has landed a recurring role in the drama, Deadline reports.
The show, which is set in the world of professional dance, stars Eric Roberts as a famous choreographer and philanderer called Michael Grace.
Allen is expected to play the mother of one of Michael's three daughters. The character is also said to be a maternal figure for Michael's other daughter Sarah.
Allen played Lydia in the television series Fame and appeared in the 2009 Fame movie. She has also had guest roles in shows including Everybody Hates Chris and Fake It Til You Make It.
Grace also stars Chris Carmack, Robert Hoffman, Anabelle Acosta and Abigail Spencer.
