Charlie Sheen: On The Brink will document the string of controversies Sheen has been embroiled in this year, including reports of heavy drug use and porn star parties, as well as several public spats.
The hour-long special features original interviews about the actor, including MacKenzie Phillips discussing being a drug addict in the public eye.
It was confirmed this week that CBS had fired Sheen from his starring role on Two and a Half Men, leading the actor to launch proceedings to sue the company for $100 million.
NBC News is co-producing Charlie Sheen: On The Brink, which will air on TLC on March 20.
