New crime dramas The Evidence and Heist got off to solid - if slow - starts in the US ratings on Wednesday.
Predictably, Fox won the night overall, with a hefty 27.3 million turning out for its American Idol results show at 9pm. New reality show Unan1mous benefited from the strong lead-in with 15.8 million viewers and a 7.0 rating in 18-49 while Idol lead-in Bones also fared well at 8 with 11.1 million.
NBC peaked at 8 with 14.8 million for Deal Or No Deal but had dropped off to 8.7 million for the premiere of Heist by the end of primetime.
The Evidence had a similar story over on ABC, averaging 9.2 million in the 10pm hour but losing a significant proportion of its Lost lead-in. That show scored 16 million - second place for the night but its lowest ranking original episode this season.
