'Kennedys' series 'not controversial'

He told The Hollywood Reporter that the eight-part series will surprise viewers when it premieres on April 3.
"This [series] shouldn't be controversial," he argued. "Once people see this, they'll wonder what the big deal was."
Hubbard also denied that the series engages in "Kennedy bashing" and called the suggestion "nonsensical".
"It's well-researched [and] it's not salacious," he insisted. "It's a great cast giving a career performance."
He added that ReelzChannel has no regrets about picking up the mini-series after it was dropped by the History Channel.
"We knew when we bought this what was going on," he explained. "We knew it was a risk."
Producer Joel Surnow recently claimed that influential Democrats are responsible for the fate of The Kennedys.
