NBC has confirmed that it has signed an agreement with US cable operator Comcast to offer several of its primetime shows on an on-demand basis.
The arrangement will see shows added to Comcast's VOD service as early as midnight following their live broadcast. Primetime shows will cost 99 cents each, while late-night and daytime shows will be offered at no charge.
Also included in the deal are shows from NBC Universal's cable channels including USA, Sci-Fi and Bravo - these will be added to the VOD service later in the year and will also be free.
