CNNI's Verjee joins CNN's US channel

CNN International anchor Zain Verjee is moving to Washington, D.C. to report for CNN's US channel.
"Zain brings a global perspective that will be invaluable in reporting national news stories from Washington," said CNN/US chief Jon Klein. "We are all very excited for her to join the D.C. team."
Verjee is already known to viewers of CNN/US; in addition to being a frequent co-anchor during the hour CNNI's em>Your World Today that also airs in America, she provides news update segments during The Situation Room, a programme that airs on weekday afternoons in the States. Verjee will continue contributing to the latter programme, CNN said today.
