Kids' Choice Awards: The Greatest Slimings

Have you ever thought that the Oscars were a bit too dour, the Brits a little bit stale or that the Grammys were... well, frankly, just a bit rubbish? Major awards shows tend to be back-slapping affairs where everyone smiles nicely, claps politely and sneaks out to the toilet whenever possible to get a break from the dreary thank-yous and acceptance speeches.

Thankfully, the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards are a ceremony with a difference. Now in its 24th year, the KCAs manage to bring a sense of fun to awards season, bringing stunts, surprises and a whole load of slime to proceedings. This year's attendees and potential slime victims include Russell Brand, Britney Spears, Black Eyed Peas and returning host Jack Black. However, our betting money is currently on Glee's Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) being this year's green gunk recipient. The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2011 take place tonight in Los Angeles at the Galen Centre at USC at 8/7c. They will air in the UK from 4pm on Sunday, April 3 and from 5pm on Friday, April 8 on Nickelodeon and nick.co.uk.
