WB's Roberts named evp of The CW

Michael Roberts has been appointed as The CW's executive vice president of current programming.
Roberts, a former Disney exec, has been filling the same role at The WB since February 2005. He will report to CW president Dawn Ostroff, who comes to the network from UPN.
"We're thrilled to welcome such a talented executive as Michael to The CW," said Ostroff. "He'll be charged with overseeing our primetime lineup of high quality, established hits while maintaining strong relationships in the creative community, and we know he will excel in every respect."
