Scores of reality television fans are expected to descend on the Los Angeles Convention Centre this weekend for the inaugural Reality Rocks Expo, a two-day event that has been billed as "the ultimate reality TV fan experience".

Contestants from a string of shows including American Idol, America's Next Top Model, Amazing Race, The Bachelor, Keeping up with Kardashians, So You Think You Can Dance, Apprentice and Survivor are expected to attend the event, which is being described as the reality version of Comic Con.

Among the stars that fans can expect to encounter across the weekend are Audrina Patridge, Nick Cannon and Dancing with the Stars professional Karina Smirnoff.

Bachelorette couple Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez, Jillian Harris, Vienna Girardi, Eric Roberts, Kris and Bruce Jenner, Apprentice alum Omarosa and Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron are also among the reality favourites slated to appear.

Former American Idol contestants Didi Benami, Michael Lynche, Paige Miles, Katie Stevens and Tim Urban will also be on hand to talk with fans, while Lauren Froderman, Lauren Gottlieb and Kent Boyd will be among the So You Think You Can Dance representatives.

Fans will have the opportunity to meet the stars and attend Q&A sessions and performances, while a string of workshops will also take place, offering advice on subjects from pitching a reality show to what casting directors are looking for in reality show hopefuls.

Other highlights will include previews of upcoming shows such as Nick Cannon's Son of a Gun and Audrina, the new solo reality venture from Hills alum Audrina Patridge.

Casting booths for shows including Wipeout and Majors & Minors, which aims to give aspiring young musicians the chance to be mentored by established stars such as Leona Lewis and Jordin Sparks, will also be at the convention.

Fans can additionally attend a variety of different celebrity panels across the weekend featuring, among other things, stars from Ghost Hunters and Big Brother, while other panels will examine subjects like dating on reality television, the impact of social media, and how reality TV changed the culinary world.

The weekend will also feature the first-ever Reality Rocks Fan Awards.

Reality Rocks takes place Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10 from 10am to 6pm at the Los Angeles Convention Centre. Ticket information and a full schedule for the weekend is available on the official website.
