Speaking to Zap2It, the actor explained that the project could become "a gigantic hit".
Grace stars Roberts as a "womanising choreographer" called Michael Grace.
Roberts also revealed that he enjoyed working with executive producer Krista Vernoff and director Lesli Linka Glatter on the project.
"All I can do is say it's probably the best thing, as a whole unit of production, that I've been involved in since 1983," he said. "All my bosses are women and I love that. It's so much better than men. Men have f**ked up the world for 3,000 years. If we let women take over a little bit, we'd all be happier guys."
Grace, which is in contention for ABC's 2011-2012 season, will also star Debbie Allen, Chris Carmack, Robert Hoffman, Anabelle Acosta and Abigail Spencer.
