ABC to stream 'Lost', other shows for free
Published Monday, Apr 10 2006, 18:04 BST | By James Welsh
ABC is planning to make four of its most popular shows available for free online in an ad-supported format.
Advertisers including AT&T, Ford and Unilever have signed up to purchase un-skippable ad spots that will appear during streamable episodes of Desperate Housewives, Lost, Alias and Commander in Chief.
The network will start making the shows available during May and June, and will then consider whether or not to continue the project into the next TV season.
ABC and its parent company Disney have already made certain programmes available over the Internet in a downloadable, pay-per-download format via the iTunes Music Store.
