Cast members from hit 1970s comedy Happy Days have filed a $10 million lawsuit against CBS.

Anson Williams, Don Most, Marion Ross, Erin Moran and the estate of the late Tom Bosley are claiming that there has been a breach of contract over merchandising revenue.

The stars allege that they should have been paid more for use of their likeness in comic books, T-shirts, trading cards and other spinoffs.

In a statement, CBS told CNN: "We agree that funds are owed to the actors and have been working with them for quite some time to resolve the issue."

Henry Winkler, who played The Fonz, Ron Howard, who starred as Richie Cunningham, and Scott Baio (Chachi Arcola) are not involved in the lawsuit.

According to the actors' attorney Jon Pfeiffer, Winkler appears to have been paid correctly, while Baio's image was not used as often on merchandising. Pfeiffer told the Washington Post: "I have not spoken to Ron Howard, but we will learn through discovery whether he has been paid."
