TV Guide reports that the actress has signed up for a multi-episode arc in the show's upcoming second season.
She is expected to play Constance, the adoptive mother of Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander). Constance is said to be a very stylish and intelligent art historian.
Bisset appeared as James LeBeau in Nip/Tuck and also guest starred in Ally McBeal and Law & Order: SVU. Her film credits include movies such as The Deep and Murder on the Orient Express.
Other stars who have already signed up to appear in Rizzoli & Isles' second season include Melrose Place's Colin Egglesfield and Prison Break actor Chris Vance.
The second season of Rizzoli & Isles will premiere on July 11 at 10/9c on TNT.
