Fox has cancelled its two comedies Breaking In and Traffic Light.

Following the news that The Chicago Code, Human Target and Lie To Me had been axed, it emerged that the two freshman shows will not be getting second seasons.

Breaking In, which focused on a high-tech security firm, premiered in April. The cast included Christian Slater, Odette Annable and Michael Rosenbaum.

Writing on his Twitter page, Rosenbaum confirmed the news, saying: "Breaking In cancelled. Had an amazing time & love my talented pal [writer] Adam F Goldberg. Thanks for support guys. I truly loved this cast. A sad day."

Reports suggest that Traffic Light, which premiered in February, has also been dropped. The romantic comedy's cast included David Denman, Aya Cash and Kris Marshall.

Fox has already announced that it has picked up Zooey Deschanel's comedy The New Girl, the J.J. Abrams project Alcatraz and Bones spinoff The Finder.
