CBS made the announcement earlier this month that Mad Love would not be returning for a second season.
Biggs said that he believes it is difficult to find a formula that works with sitcoms because they are such a specific style of show.
"The sitcom is a very specific kind of rhythm and cadence and it's a certain muscle that you have to exercise to do it well," Biggs explained to EW recently. "It was just a different style of comedy. You've got to play the jokes a little more."
Despite the show's axing, Biggs declared that he was happy to have tried his hand at TV, and added that he enjoyed working alongside a cast which included the likes of Sarah Chalke, Judy Greer and Tyler Labine.
"I just had a great time working with that cast," the actor continued. "That cast was incredible and it's a shame we won't get to do it again."
Biggs will return to the American Pie series later this year for the franchise's fourth theatrical release American Reunion.
