Harris called off her engagement to Playboy mogul Hefner this month, just days before they were due to tie the knot at the Playboy Mansion.
Hefner has now told followers on Twitter that the proposed Lifetime special documenting their wedding day has been amended to reflect the separation.
"The marriage special planned for Lifetime TV is now going to have a "runaway bride" theme & will air in July," he wrote.
Hefner previously described Harris as a 'runaway bride' on the cover of Playboy's current issue. The publication was printed before the separation and features a photograph of Harris alongside the headline "Mrs Crystal Hefner". Hefner later altered the cover to include a sticker saying 'runaway bride'.
The 85-year-old also told Twitter followers that ex-girlfriends Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson had visited him at the Playboy Mansion during production of the Lifetime show, writing: "Holly & Kendra were here today lending their emotional support as we shot for the Lifetime TV special."
Madison added on her own Twitter feed: "Nice day filming w/my old skool fam (sic)."
Hefner recently admitted that he hadn't seen his split from Harris coming, but added that he is glad their relationship ended before the wedding rather than when they were married.
