The romantic sitcom, which also stars Sharon Horgan and Stephen Mangan, will air in the US as part of BBC America's 'Ministry of Laughs' comedy block on Saturday nights.
Originally aired on Channel 4, the comedy lasted one full series of six episodes in 2009, and has not been renewed for more episodes.
The format centres around protagonist Stephen, played by Head, a brash, promiscuous boss whose advice to office worker Alex, played by Mangan, leads to a will-they-won't-they relationship between Alex and co-worker Helen (Horgan).
Free Agents was recently commissioned for a US spinoff produced by NBC, with Head reprising his role as Stephen alongside other actors.
The programme is a Big Talk (Friday Night Dinner) and Bwark (The Inbetweeners) co-production for Channel 4, made by producer Nira Park. Executive producers are Matthew Justice and Iain Morris.
