The series, which stars Chloe Sevigny as a pre-op transexual who works as a contract killer, has attracted interest from several parties, including one cable channel, according to Deadline.
"We have a bidding war on Hit and Miss at the moment with three big US entities," said BSkyB's managing director of news and entertainment Sophie Turner-Laing. "They've seen that we've worked on raising our game here."
Turner-Laing added: "If we have the American market as a buyer for our shows, that gives me much more strength going to [Sky CEO] Jeremy Darroch [and] asking for another £300 million."
Hit and Miss has been written by Sean Conway and will be helmed by Doctor Who and Wallander director Hettie McDonald. Shameless creator Paul Abbott will executive produce the project opposite Nicola Shindler.
Filming on the series has already commenced in Manchester, England.
