'Rookie Blue' season three renewal confirmed by ABC

The cop drama stars Missy Peregrym as Andy McNally, the daughter of a former homicide detective who has recently graduated from the police academy.
Peregrym previously announced the show's renewal on her Twitter account, though the post was later deleted.
ABC and Canada's Global network have now confirmed that new episodes of Rookie Blue will begin filming in Toronto later this summer.
Rookie Blue's second season began airing on June 23, with the most recent episode attracting 1.4m viewers.
Former Everwood star Gregory Smith, Smallville's Eric Johnson and Ben Bass also appear in the series.
Rookie Blue continues on Thursdays at 10/9c on ABC.
